The Humane Education Coalition is a global alliance for collective impact. Our mission is to advance the field of humane education for the betterment of all living things. We collaborate with partners in human rights, environmental ethics, and animal protection to achieve common goals and support their work. We envision a compassionate and sustainable future for all people, animals, and the planet.
The Coalition advances the field of humane education with our Four-Pillar Approach:
Collaborate: Collaborate with a global partner network to achieve groundbreaking initiatives and support their work.
Educate: Provide quality learning opportunities that help improve the practice of humane education.
Empower: Offer resources to assist partners with developing humane education programs.
Inspire: Recognize distinguished contributors to the field of humane education, and generate awareness through strategic public relations activities.
The Coalition serves as a backbone organization to a growing network of agencies working in this important field. We provide strategic coherence to the field of humane education and are committed to working collaboratively using a targeted, strategic approach.
The Coalition provides needed grant funding, education, and resources for agencies that teach about human rights, animal protection, and environmental ethics. We also work collaboratively with partners around the world to implement revolutionary initiatives in the field of humane education.
We face numerous global challenges, including pollution, poverty, climate change, animal cruelty and exploitation, inequality, world hunger, and more. These complex issues are deeply interconnected, and they make humane education a necessity for people everywhere. By educating about these issues and helping others think critically and make informed decisions, we take steps forward to developing positive, meaningful solutions that have the ability to shape the future.
